The aim of the research is to identify the level of habits of the productive mind among students of the Faculties of Education for Pure and Human Sciences in light of the variables of sex and scientific specialization. The research sample consisted of (160) male and female students from the third-grade students in the Faculties of Education for Pure and Human Sciences, University of Mosul for the academic year (2019-2020) from the scientific departments (Physics, Mathematics) and Humanities (Arabic, History) distributed equally according to the variables of gender and scientific specialization. To achieve the goal of researching and answering his questions, the researchers adopted the measure of habits of the mind produced by Hussein (2012) and applied by Yunus (2015) consisting of (44) paragraphs after his adaptation distributed on (8) habits of mind habits chosen from (16) usually according to the opinion of the arbitrators It is (perseverance, listening with understanding, thinking in thinking, asking and asking problems, collecting data, taking responsible risk, reciprocal thinking, permanent readiness for continuing education) with (31) positive paragraphs and (13) negative direction, and each paragraph followed by three alternatives (Always, sometimes, rarely) The researchers have verified the validity and reliability of the tool, which amounted to (0.81) in the method of repetition. After that, the researchers applied the tool to the individuals of his primary sample (23-25 / 12/2019), then they collected the data and analyzed them statistically using the Z-test for two independent samples. The results indicated to: 1) There is no statistically significant difference at the level (0.05) between the average habits of the mind produced among the individuals of the research sample according to the gender variable. 2) There is a statistically significant difference at the level (0.05) between the average habits of the productive mind among the members of the research sample according to the variable of scientific specialization and for the benefit of students of the College of Education for Pure Sciences. In light of the results, the researchers came out with a number of conclusions. They also made a number of recommendations, in addition to proposing a number of titles for future research.
