تهدف الدراسة إلى الكشف عن علاقة الذكاء السائل كما يقيسه اختبار المصفوفات ببعض أنماط الشخصية، كما يقيسه مقياس أيزنك (SPM PlUS) المتتابعة المعيارية للشخصية، لدى عينة من طلبة جامعة دمشق، مؤلفة من 498 طالباً وطالبةً، منهم205 من الذكور، و 293 من الإناث، ومن تخصصات نظرية وتطبيقية وقد توصلت الدراسة إلى النتائج التالية:1- هناك علاقة سلبية دالة إحصائياً بين الذكاء السائل والتحصيل الدراسي وكلّ من الذهانية والعصابية للعينة الكّلية وعينة الإناث، في حين لم تكن دالة لدى عينة الذكور. -2 هناك علاقة سلبية دالة إحصائياً بين الذكاء السائل والتحصيل الدراسي وكلّ من الذهانية والعصابية لدى التخصصات النظرية، في حين أن هذه العلاقة لم تكن دالة إحصائياً لدى طلبة التخصصات التطبيقية. 3- ظهرت فروق في درجة الذكاء السائل عند مستويات مختلفة من الذهانية والعصابية، وذلك لصالح المستوى المتوسط في الذهانية والمستوى المنخفض في العصابية لدى عينة الإناث، في حين لم تظهر هذه الفروق لدى عينة الذكور. -4 أمكن التنبؤ بالذكاء السائل من خلال مقياسي الذهانية والعصابية، كما أمكن التنبؤ بالتحصيل الدراسي من خلال مقياس العصابية فقط. تقترح الباحثة إجراء المزيد من الدراسات حول علاقة الذكاء السائل بالشخصية باستخدام مقاييس مختلفة للذكاء والشخصية، كذلك إرشاد طلبة الجامعة ومساعدتهم في حلّ مشكلاتهم الانفعالية، كي يتمكنوا من استثمار قدراتهم العقلية بصورة أفضل. This study aims at examining the relationship of fluid intelligence, as measured by the standard progressive matrices test (SPM PlUS) with some personality traits as measured by personal Eysenk scale of the personality, within a sample of students at the University of Damascus composed of 498 students, including 205 males and 293 females, and from theoretical and practical disciplines . The study found the following results: 1) There is a significant negative relationship between the fluid intelligence and academic score with both Psychoticism and neuroticism, of the total sample and female, while there is no relationship for the male sample. 2) There is a significant negative relationship between the fluid intelligence and academic score with both Psychoticism and neuroticism, with the theoretical disciplines, while this relationship is not significant for applied students’ disciplines. 3) There are differences in the degree of fluid intelligence at different levels of neuroticism and Psychoticism in favor of the average level in the Psychoticism and the low level of neuroticism for females sample mean while did not show differences among a sample of males. 4) It is possible to predict the fluid intelligence through the neuroticism and psychoticism scales. It is also possible to predict the academic score through Neuroticism only. The researcher suggests further studies about the relationship between intelligence personality traits using different measures, and employed university students’ guidance to help them in solving their emotional problems, so that they can invest their mental abilities in a better way.
