هدف البحث إلى قياس فاعلية المدخل التفاوضي في تنمية القراءة الناقدة والتفكير الإبداعي لدى طالبات المرحلة المتوسطة في مدينة الرياض. واستخدم البحث المنهج شبه التجريبي ذي المجموعتين، التجريبية والضابطة. تألفت عينة البحث من (44) طالبة من طالبات الصف الثالث المتوسط، تم اختيارها عشوائيا. وقسمت العينة إلى مجموعتين، مجموعة تجريبية درست باستخدام المدخل التفاوضي، ومجموعة ضابطة درست بالطريقة الاعتيادية، ولتحقيق الهدف من البحث طبقت أدوات البحث قبل وبعد إجراء التجربة، وهي: اختبار القراءة الناقدة، ومقياس تورانس (Torrance) للتفكير الإبداعي. وكشفت النتائج عن فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين المجموعتين لصالح المجموعة التجريبية في اختبار القراءة الناقدة، وهذا يدل على فاعلية المدخل التفاوضي في تنمية مهارات القراءة الناقدة لدى الطالبات عينة الدراسة، بينما لا توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين المجموعتين في درجات التطبيق البعدي لمقياس التفكير الإبداعي. وفي ضوء نتائج البحث توصي الباحثة بتوفير جو من الحرية للطالبات لممارسة عملية التفاوض أثناء التعلم. وإعداد دورات تدريبية للمعلمات أثناء الخدمة لتدريبهن على استخدام مداخل حديثة في التدريس ومنها المدخل التفاوضي، وتطبيق المدخل التفاوضي في الجامعات ومدارس التعليم العام. وتقترح الباحثة إجراء بحوث ودراسات أخرى للكشف عن فاعلية المدخل التفاوضي في تنمية متغيرات بحثية أخرى، وتجريب مداخل واستراتيجيات أخرى لتنمية مهارات القراءة الناقدة والتفكير الإبداعي. The main objective of this study was to measure the effectiveness of the negotiation approach in developing the critical reading and creative thinking for Elementary 9th grade students in Riyadh public schools. To achieve this, a quasi-experimental design was administered. A pre/ posttests also prepared and administered for a randomly sample of 44 9th grade students in one of Riyadh public schools along with Torrance creative thinking Test. The sample was divided into control group and experimental group. The control group study the old approach, while the experimental group study the negotiation approach that aimed to develop the students’ critical reading and creative thinking. Significant differences between the experimental and control groups on the post-test and between the experimental group’s pre- and post-test scores, indicates an effect of the negotiation approach on the students’ critical reading and creative thinking skills Recommendations and suggestions included more studies should be done to develop critical reading and creative thinking in schools for different levels, Other approaches and strategies for developing the negotiation approach must be introduced to modern pedagogy. Integrating the negotiation approach into schools and universities’ curriculum will create critical writers and readers as well as creative thinkers. (Published abstract)
