هدف البحث الحالي إلى التحقق من إمكانية التنبؤ بالمهارات الحياتية من خلال اضطراب الوعي بالجسد لدى الأطفال ذوي متلازمة داون. وقد تكونت عينة البحث من (100) طفلا من ذوي متلازمة داون وأمهاتهم بمدراس التربية الخاصة والمراكز النهارية بمحافظتي بني سويف والقاهرة. وتمثلت أدوات البحث في: مقياس اضطراب الوعي بالجسد لدى الأطفال ذوي متلازمة داون (إعداد الباحثة)، ومقياس المهارات الحياتية لدي الأطفال ذوي متلازمة داون (إعداد الباحثة). واستخدم البحث الحالي المنهج الوصفي. وقد أسفرت نتائج البحث عن وجود علاقة ارتباطية سالبة بين كلا من اضطراب الوعي بالجسد والمهارات الحياتية لدي عينة البحث، وكذلك توصلت إلى إمكانية التنبؤ بالمهارات الحياتية لدى الأطفال ذوي متلازمة داون من خلال اضطراب الوعي بالجسد. وكذلك وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين الذكور والإناث على درجات كلا من مقياس اضطراب الوعي بالجسد ومقياس المهارات الحياتية، ووجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين الأطفال على درجات مقياسي اضطرب الوعي بالجسد والمهارات الحياتية وفقا للمستوى التعليمي لأمهاتهم. The present research aimed at investigating the possibility of predicting of life skills through body awareness disorder in children with Down syndrome. The research sample consisted of (100) children with Down syndrome and their mothers in special education schools and day centers in the governorates of Beni Suef and Cairo. The research tools were "Body Awareness Disorder in Children with Down Syndrome scale" (the researcher's preparation), the life skills scale for children with Down Syndrome (the researcher's preparation). The research used the correlative descriptive approach. The results of the research resulted in a negative correlation between the disorder of body awareness and life skills in the research sample, and the research found the possibility of predicting life skills in children with Down syndrome through the body awareness disorder. In addition, there are statistically significant differences between males and females on the scores of both the scale of body awareness disorder and the scale of life skills, and there are also statistically significant differences between children on the degrees of the measures of body awareness disorder and life skills according to the educational level of their mothers.
