استهدفت الدراسة التعرف على معوقات إدارة الوقت لدى طلاب جامعة الملك فيصل، وتمثلت عينة البحث في (788) طالباً وطالبة من كليات الجامعة. استخدم الباحثان استبانة صممت من قبلهما لجمع بيانات الدراسة بعد استخراج درجة الصدق الظ وتوكي. أسفرت نتائج الدراسة عن الآتي: 1) رصد الطلاب والطالبات تقديرات مرتفعة للعوامل المؤسسية والاجتماعية في كونها معوقات لإدارة الوقت. 2) ترى الطالبات أن المعوقات المؤسسية تمثل عائقاً أكبر لإدارة الوقت مقارنة برؤية الطلاب. 3) يرى الطلاب والطالبات في التخصصات الأدبية أن العوامل المؤسسية والاجتماعية تعد عائقاً أكبر في إدارة الوقت مقارنة برؤية الطلاب والطالبات في التخصصات العلمية. 4) المعوقات المؤسسية والاجتماعية تمثل عائقاً أكبر لاستثمار الوقت وإدارته كما يدركها طلاب وطالبات المستوى الدراسي الرابع في كليات الجامعة مقارنة باستجابة الطلبة في المستويات الدراسية الأخرى. 5) لا يشكل المعدل التراكمي للطلبة تأثيراً في إدراك المعوقات المؤسسية والاجتماعية لإدارة الوقت. وفي ضوء النتائج أوصى الباحث بالآتي: 1) ضرورة اهتمام الجامعة بتفعيل دور الإرشاد الأكاديمي الطلابي وبصورة فورية. 2) فتح قنوات اتصال بين الجامعة وأسر طلاب الجامعة لتوضيح دور کل منهما تجاه الطلاب. 3) الاهتمام بشئون الطالبات، وتكليف موظفات ذو مهنية عالية ومدربة لإدارة شئونهن. 4) إشعار الهيئة التدريسية بالجامعة بدورهم التوعوي والإرشادي بالإضافة إلى الدور التدريسي. The study aimed to identify obstacles of time management among students in the King Faisal University. The current research relies on the descriptive methodology which describes and explains what is really found in addition to paying attention to the circumstances and relationships between incidents. The researchers depended on the questionnaire as an investigation tool. The questionnaire prepared by them included two main fields, factors with many points under each, and aimed at investigating the obstacles facing students in time management. The questionnaire was administered to a sample of (788) students from faculties of the University. Data were statistically analyzed by means, T-test, one way ANOVA, and Scheffe, Tukey tests. The results of the study revealed that: 1) Students perceived social and institutional factors as obstacles of time management with high and average ratings. 2) Female students view the Institutional constraints as the biggest barrier for time management compared with Male students' perception. 3) Students in in the Art Section view institutional and social factors as obstacle of time management compared with students' view in scientific disciplines. 4) The Institutional and social obstacles were the biggest barrier of time management as perceived by fourth level students compared with responses of students in other levels. 5) There is no impact of students’ GPA on their perceptions of the institutional and social obstacles time management. In the light of these findings the researchers recommended the following: 1) There is an urgent need for paying attention to reactivate the role of students' academic advising. 2) The University should communicate with the students' families to clarify their respective roles towards each other. 3) The University should pay attention to Female students affairs, through professional and trained employees to manage their affairs. 4) The University Staff should be aware of their counseling and mentoring role in addition to their teaching role in dealing with students.
