هدفت البحث الحالي إلى التعرف على الإطار الفكري والفلسفي للتميز في التعليم الجامعي، والتوجهات المعاصرة ذات الارتباط به، ثم التوصل إلى أهم المتطلبات اللازمة لتحقيق التميز في التعليم الجامعي الأزهري. واستخدم البحث المنهج الوصفي لتحقيق أهدافه، فاعتمد الباحث الاستبانة كأداة رئيسة في التعرف على واقع التميز في التعليم الجامعي الأزهري، وتم تطبيقها على عينة عشوائية من أعضاء هيئة التدريس في الدرجات العلمية المختلفة (أساتذة، أساتذة مساعدين، مدرسين) بكليات جامعة الأزهر المعتمدة من "الهيئة القومية لضمان الجودة والاعتماد" وعددها ست كليات- منها كليات (شرعية وعربية، وعملية تطبيقية). وفي ضوء استجابات أفراد العينة لعبارات الاستبانة، أظهرت نتائج البحث أن درجة توافر مؤشرات التميز في التعليم الجامعي الأزهري جاءت بدرجة متوسطة، وهذا ما يشير إلى حاجة التعليم الجامعي الأزهري إلى مجموعة من المتطلبات اللازمة لتحقيق التميز فيه. وبالتالي قدم البحث الحالي مجموعة من المتطلبات اللازمة لتحقيق التميز في التعليم الجامعي الأزهري على ضوء التوجهات المعاصرة. The current research aimed to identify the intellectual and philosophical framework for excellence in university education, and the contemporary Orientations related, as well as identifying the most important requirements necessary to achieve excellence of the university method in Al-Azhar. The research made use of the descriptive approach to achieve its objectives and a questionnaire as a main instrument was developed for identifying the reality of excellence in Al-Azhar university education. The questionnaire was administered to a random sample of faculty members in various academic ranks (professors, assistant professors, teachers) at the Faculties of Al-Azhar University accredited by the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation (Islamic and Arab, Scientific and Applied Faculties). The results of the research participants responses to the questionnaire items showed that the degree of availability of indicators of excellence in Al-Azhar university education was medium indicating the need to a set of requirements necessary to achieve excellence for Al-Azhar university education. Consequently, the study presented a number of requirements to achieve excellence in Al-Azhar university education in the light of contemporary orientations. (Published abstract)
