This study aimed to unveiling the reality of using the educational means and techniques in university, based on the views of faculty members at the Applied Colleges Nyala university staff. The researchers used the descriptive approach based on the analytical method and the case study method. The questionnaire was used as a mean for collecting data. The study filed is composed of (60) members of the University staff, while the study sample was taken from 34 members of the practical college’s staff, who were intentionally chosen. The (SPSS) analysis program was used in analyzing the questionnaire, so the end-product of the study arrived at many findings; here are the most important ones: 1) It was clear that the majority of the educational techniques mentioned in the study are unavailable in the university. 2) The majority of the staff members of the university have poor skill in dealing with educational techniques. 3) The university environment is never ready to deal with educational techniques. The recommendations included: 1) The necessity of preparing the university environment to deal with educational techniques in teaching. 2) Allocating some of universities budgets for buying the important educational techniques. 3) Concentration must be made on work promotion to alleviate the efficiency of the university professor in the field of technology. 4) Building of labs whose message is producing educational techniques from the local environment.
