The current study aimed to understand the reality of utilizing of educational techniques by science teachers in teaching in the intermediate stage and identify the challenges facing the teachers in using such educational techniques. The study also aimed to identify the impact of the teachers' personal variables (educational qualification, years of service) on these challenges facing them. The study followed the descriptive analytical approach with a population consisted of all science teachers in middle school in Abha city in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The study sample was limited to (122) teachers. The study used the questionnaire as the main tool to obtain the responses of the sample. The study came out with a set of results, the most important of which were: the using the educational techniques by the science teachers in teaching science for the intermediate stage was in a significant degree, according to the relative weight 79.2%. The challenges facing the science teachers in using the educational techniques while teaching intermediate stage was in a significant degree, according to the relative weight of 74.6%. There were statistically significant differences in the sample's responses regarding the challenges they face in using educational techniques while teaching science for the intermediate stage, depending on the variable of the educational qualification. There were no statistically significant differences in the sample's responses regarding the challenges facing science teachers in the intermediate stage in the use of educational techniques while teaching science, depending on the variable of years of service.
