هدفت الدراسة إلى الكشف عن درجة ممارسة قادة مدارس محافظة العارضة لأسلوب الإدارة بالأهداف من وجهة نظرهم، وقد استخدمت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي المسحي، وكانت أداتها استبانة تكونت من (48) فقرة موزعة على ثلاثة محاور هي: جانب تحديد الهدف وتنفيذه، والجانب المعرفي، والجانب التشاركي، تم تطبيقها على عينة الدراسة التي تكونت من (58) قائدا لمدارس محافظة العارضة، وهم جميع عناصر مجتمع الدراسة. وقد أظهرت النتائج أن تقديرات أفراد عينة الدراسة لدرجة ممارسة قادة مدارس محافظة العارضة لأسلوب الإدارة بالأهداف جاءت بدرجة منخفضة، وبمتوسط حسابي (2.01)، كما تبين وجود فروق ذات دلالة احصائية بين استجابات أفراد العينة حول عبارات الجانب المعرفي لصالح الاستجابة الأعلى تكرارا وهي (منخفضة) و(منخفضة جدا)، كما أظهرت النتائج أن الفروق بين استجابات أفراد العينة حول عبارات جانب تحديد الهدف وتنفيذه دالة إحصائيا عند مستوى الدلالة (0.05) مما يشير إلى وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين استجابات أفراد العينة لصالح الاستجابة الأعلى تكرارا وهي (منخفضة) و(منخفضة جدا)، وأظهرت النتائج أيضا أن الفروق بين استجابات أفراد العينة حول عبارات الجانب التشاركي دالة إحصائيا عند مستوى الدلالة (0.05) مما يشير إلى وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين استجابات أفراد العينة لصالح الاستجابة الأعلى تكرارا وهي (منخفضة) و(منخفضة جدا). كما أظهرت الدراسة إلى عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية تعزى للمؤهل العلمي، وأظهرت الدراسة إلى عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية تعزى لمتغير عدد سنوات الخدمة في (الجانب التشاركي) بينما وجدت فروق في المحورين الأول والثاني (تحديد الهدف وتنفيذه، والجانب المعرفي)، كما تبين وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في ضوء متغير عدد البرامج التدريبية التي التحق بها القائد لصالح الأكثر من برنامج، وقد قدمت الدراسة مجموعة من التوصيات من أهمها: تصميم برنامج تدريبي خاص بمهارات أسلوب الإدارة بالأهداف تتمثل أهدافه بتحديد الهدف وتنفيذه، والجانب المعرفي، والجانب التشاركي، وإعداد أداة لقياس أثر البرنامج والتأكد من فاعليته، بناء خطة استراتيجية واقعية تواكب تطلعات الميدان التربوي من قبل الجهات التعليمية العليا. The study aims to reveal how far the principals of government schools practice the management by objectives leadership style according to their point of view. The study used the descriptive survey method. The questionnaire included 48 sections divided into three divisions: target identifying and implementing aspect, the cognitive aspect, and the participatory aspect. The study was applied to 58 school principals of Alardha province who represented all the elements of the study community. The results showed that the degree of the practices of management of goals leadership style was so low among the chosen community, and the average mark was 2.01. There were significant variations among the responses on the cognitive expressions aspect in favor of the highest frequent responses, which are (low) and (very low) ones. The results also showed that the variations among the responses of the terms of the goal setting and its implementation were statistically significant at the significance level (α ≤ 0.05), indicating that there were statistically significant variations among the responses in favor of the highest frequent responses, which are (low) and (very low) ones. On the other hand, the results showed that the variations among the responses of the participative aspect expressions were statistically significant at the significance level (α ≤ 0.05), indicating statistically significant variations among responses in favor of the highest frequent responses, which are (low) and (very low) ones. The study also showed no significant variations due to scientific qualifications. The study clarified that there were no statistically significant variations due to the variable number of years of service in the participatory aspect. While variations were found in the first and second sections, goal setting aspect and knowledge implementation aspect. Besides, there were statistically significant variations of training programs that principals joined in favor of most of the programs offered. The study presented at the end a set of recommendations: designing a training program for the management of goals leadership style skills aiming to define and implement the approach, the knowledge aspect, the participatory aspect, and to prepare a tool to measure the impact of the program and ensure its effectiveness. In addition to creating a realistic strategic plan that meets the aspirations of the educational field of the higher educational leaders. (Published abstract)
