The effect of educational programs according to the methods of sensory preferences in learning and retaining some basic motor skills in volleyball [Article]
The research aims to investigate the effect of adopting educational programs prepared according to the methods of sensory preferences (auditory, visual and motor) in learning some skills in volleyball, and disclosure of the differentiation in the use of educational programs according to the methods of sensory preferences (auditory, visual and motor) in learning some of the volleyball skills, and learn the effect of each of the methods of sensory preferences (audiovisual and motor) in maintaining skillful learning of volleyball. The researchers adopted the experimental approach to its compatibility with the rationale for the research problem. The research community consisted of students of the fourth preparatory class in the (Shah’s) Preparatory School for Girls in Erbil for the academic year 2019 - 2020, and this class was deliberately chosen in order to include the curriculum of sports lessons on volleyball and being beginners in this game. The number of them (113) students spread over four people. The research sample consisted of (75) students representing the people (A, B, and D) who were randomly chosen by polling. After excluding female students who had failed and had health conditions and who did not have a similar preference for the group that was chosen within the preference assigned to them. Thus, the original sample number (45) students was divided into three groups, with (15) students for each group. The researchers concluded that the educational programs prepared according to the methods of sensory preferences have had a positive impact on learning some of the volleyball skills of the students of the three experimental research groups, and the levels of skillful reception differed according to the methods of sensory preferences, whereby the reception rose according to the method of visual sensory preference over the style of kinesthetic preference, whereas the reception according to the audio-receiving method was delayed from the other two styles because of the effect of the image and movement on learning, and the group of visual preference favored retaining the skill knowledge and its applications because of the role of the image and video and the professionalism of the model in establishing skillful learning in memory. At the conclusion of their research, the researchers recommended the necessity of preparing educational programs according to the most influencing preference method in skill education in volleyball and retaining it, and to benefit from visual technological innovations to the maximum extent possible in preparing educational units for volleyball skills because of their profound impact on education and the consolidation of those skills in the memory.
