The main goal of the current research is to recognize the effect of the strategy of dangling paintings on the development of reading skills in third grade pupils for the academic year of 2016-2017. The sample of the study consisted of two groups: the experimental group consists of 30 pupils and a control group includes 30 pupils. The researcher utilized the achievement test as a tool of this research, consisting of (17) test items, 10 multiple choice items are distributed over the first question. The third question included two words order items to form a useful sentence, and the results showed that there was a statistically significant difference in favor of the experimental group who studied according to the strategy of the pendent posters in the achievement test. The researcher concluded the following: 1) the use of the strategy of pendent posters has a role in the development of reading skills in the primary third grade pupils. 2) Primary third grade pupils are in need of modern methods of teaching in the development of reading skills. 3) The strategy of pendent posters has proved effective in the field in which it was applied. 4) The traditional way of teaching reading does not stimulate students' motivation for learning. 5) It is easy to develop the reading skills in primary third grade pupils through the use of modern educational strategies. 6) Using the strategy of pendent posters helps to provide an appropriate and interesting educational environment for the development of reading skills among primary third grade pupils.
