The present research aimed at revealing the effect of some social eLearning environments based on social networking platforms on developing instructional e-communication skills for female students at the Faculty of Education, Albaha University. The researcher has followed the developmental research method through using a suitable instructional design model to develop the social e-learning environments. The research sample has consisted of (75) first- level female students and has been distributed randomly to three groups. The first group has learned through Facebook-based social e-learning environment, the second experimental group has learned through wiki-based social e-learning environment, and the third control group has learned through a lecture-based learning environment. The research tools were an achievement test to measure the cognitive aspects of the instructional e-communication skills and an observation checklist to measure the performing aspects of such skills. Validity and reliability of these tools have been verified. After implementing the research experiment, data has been collected, organized and processed statistically. The research has found the following results: 1) There are statistically significant differences at the level of (α≤0.05) between the mean scores of the first experimental group and the control group in the post application of both the achievement test and the observation checklist in favor of the first experimental group. 2) There are statistically significant differences at the level of (α≤0.05) between the mean scores of the second experimental group and the control group in the post application of both the achievement test and the observation checklist in favor of the second experimental group. 3) There are statistically significant differences at the level of (α≤0.05) between the mean scores of the three groups in the post application of the achievement test in favor of the second experimental group. 4) There are statistically significant differences at the level of (α≤0.05) between the mean scores of the three groups in the post application of the observation checklist in favor of the experimental groups.
