This study aims to investigate the effect of the use of discussion method in teaching Islamic education on academic achievement , in the first grade of secondary students , the state of Khartoum in Sudan , in the academic year 2012 - 2013 m, how different student achievement in Islamic Education different teaching method, the effect of using the way the debate on the high level of achievement , depending on cognitive levels, and the impact of the use of the way the debate on academic excellence they have. In the light of these objectives; researcher put three scientific hypotheses, He used (experimental method). The research sample consisted of 35 students from the first grade of secondary students, in Mubarak Zarrouk public high school, the researcher devided them into two groups: an experimental group and a control group. Then, conducted a test before me and after me test. The researcher used two methods of scientific and statistical processing. The most important results of the study are: -Discussion method in teaching has an impact on academic achievement among first grade students at the secondary level in Islamic Education. The experimental group that studied the way the debate outperformed the control group which studied the way dumping. Uinge the discussion method in all cognitive levels more positive, with no difference between the upper and lower levels. -Discussion is an effective way in teaching Islamic education. Based on these results; the current study has provided a set of recommendations and proposals. (Published abstract)
