To achieve that, the content analysis style and the experimental approach have been used. The research sample has included two groups: an experimental group (22 students) and a controlling group (22 students). The researcher has also designed a suggested unit in economic education and a directive manual for teaching that unit to be used by teachers. She has also prepared an achievement test which aims at identifying the student's knowledge of economic education principles and their meanings and a measurement of her tendency towards the course. The results show that there are statistically meaningful differences between the averages of the two groups' marks in the post- application for the benefit of the experimental group, and there are also statistically meaningful differences between the pre- and post-measurement of the experimental group for the benefit of the post measurement. Eita square value has shown the effectiveness of the unit in developing the experimental group's achievement and their tendency towards the course. The researcher has listed some recommendations which – in sum indicate the importance of teaching economic education principles, including separate units for teaching them in the different stages of public education, making use of the data and tools of the present study, training the course teachers on teaching the unit, and using modern teaching strategies. She has also suggested conducting further studies dealing with the effectiveness of a suggested unit for teaching economic education principles in elementary and secondary schools and the effectiveness of a suggested training programme of economic education for female teachers in the different stages of public education in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
