هدفت هذه الدراسة التعرف على دور الملكية العائلية للجامعات الأردنية الخاصة في اتخاذ القرار وعلاقتها بتطبيق مبادئ الحوكمة في تلك الجامعات، ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة وظف المنهج الوصفي وتم تطوير استبانة وتوزيعها على عينة الدراسة المكونة من (201) من أعضاء هيئة التدريس و(182) من العاملين تم اختيارهم بالطريقة العشوائية الطبقية، وأظهرت الدراسة وجود أثر عكسي لدور الملكية العائلية للجامعات الأردنية الخاصة في اتخاذ القرار في تلك الجامعات، وعدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى الدلالة (α ≤0.05) في آراء أفراد العينة حول درجة تأثير العائلة المالكة للجامعات في اتخاذ القرار ككل، ودرجة تطبيق الحوكمة يعزى إلى متغيرات (المركز الوظيفي، وسنوات الخبرة، والجنس)، كما أن أفراد عينة الدراسة من أعضاء هيئة تدريس وإداريين يرون أن مستوى تطبيق مبادئ الحوكمة في الجامعات الأردنية الخاصة متوسط. وأظهرت النتائج وجود علاقة عكسية بين مجالات درجة تأثير العائلة المالكة للجامعات في اتخاذ القرار ومجال مبادئ الحوكمة. The aim of this study is to identify the role of family ownership of private Jordanian universities in decision making and its relationship with the application of the principles of governance in these universities. To achieve the objectives of the study, a descriptive methodology is employed and a questionnaire is developed and distributed to a random stratified sample consisting of (201) faculty members and (182) administrative staff. The study shows that there is an adverse effect on the role of family ownership of private universities in decision making in these universities. There are no statistically significant differences at the level of (α ≤0.05) in the opinion of the sample members on the degree of influence of the owner family of universities in decision making as a whole and degree of application due to the variables (position, years of experience, sex). The participants believe that the application of the principles of governance in the Jordanian private universities is moderate. The results show an inverse relationship between the degree of influence of the owner family of universities in decision-making and the principles of governance. (Published abstract)
