هدف البحث إلى التعرف على التعامل مع محتوى وسائط التواصل الاجتماعي وعلاقته بالقدرة على التفكير الناقد لدى عينة مكونة من 400 طالب وطالبة من جامعة حائل بالسعودية. ولتحقيق ذلك الهدف استخدم الباحثان المنهج الوصفي الارتباطي. وقد صمم الباحثان قائمة التعامل مع وسائط التواصل الاجتماعي، واختارا مقياس واطسون-جليسر المختصر، وتأكدا من صلاحيتهما، ومن ثمّ تم تطبيقهما على عينة من طلاب وطالبات جامعة حائل المسجلين في المستويين الأول والثاني في العام الجامعي 2016/2017م. وتم تحليل البيانات إحصائيا بواسطة أساليب التحليل الإحصائي المناسبة التابعة لبرنامج الـ (SSPS)، وأفادت النتائج إلى ما يلي: يتعامل طلاب جامعة حائل مع محتوى وسائط التواصل الاجتماعي تعاملا إيجابيا. ويتمتع طلاب جامعة حائل بقدرة مرتفعة على التفكير الناقد. وتوجد علاقة طردية بين التعامل مع محتوى وسائط التواصل الاجتماعي والقدرة على التفكير الناقد. وتمت مناقشة النتائج بناء على الإطار النظري والبحوث السابقة، وقدم الباحثان مجموعة من التوصيات والمقترحات البحثية التي تثري الميدان العلمي. The research aimed to investigate the relationship between the style of dealing with social media content and the critical thinking of Hail university students. The researchers designed a questionnaire to investigate the styles used by the students to deal with social media content, and standardized Watson - Glaser test for critical thinking. The researchers applied the tools on a sample of 400 (males and females) of Hail university students. The collected data analyzed statistically by SPSS. The results showed positive styles of students dealing with social media content, and also showed a highly levels of critical thinking of the students, and also showed a positive significant relationship between styles of dealing with social media and critical thinking of Hail university students. Finally, the researchers gave some recommendations depended on the research results. (Published abstract)
