The main goal of this study is to uncover the dominant leadership pattern among secondary education principals from the point view of teachers in light of the model of "Bass and Avolio” in some high schools in the state of Medea. This research also aimed to determine the nature of the relationship and its significance between the leadership style of principals and the motivation for achievement in teachers. This study was conducted on a random sample of 200 professors, based on the descriptive approach. In order to test the hypotheses, the researcher relied on two tools: "MultiFactor Leadership Scale" developed by Bass and Avolio after it was translated from its original language (English) into Arabic, in addition to the scale of motivation for achievement elaborated by the researcher. The results showed that the predominant leadership pattern according to the Bass and Afolio model in the study sample is Transfer Model, it appears also that thare is a correlative relationship between the patterns of leadership (transformational, reciprocal, pervasive) and motivation for achievement among teachers of secondary education.
