This current study aimed to recognize the degree of the spread of superstitious thinking for the female students of Hail University (Al-Shamly Branch). And to know the dominant control center for them. It also aimed to know the effect of the variable of specialty in the degree of the spread of superstitious thinking on them. Furthermore, to know if there a difference between for the female student of Hail University. The sample consisted of (242) female student distributed on three specialties (majoring); nursing, primary- teaching and English. The researcher used Abu Awad’s measure of superstitious thinking (2010), and Ala’a Aldeen Kanafani’s measure of the control center. The study come up with the following results, the most important of them are: there was a low level of superstitious thinking for this sample. Also, were differences that had statistical significance of specialties on the degree of superstitious thinking spread in favor of nursing. As for the percentage of the external control center on the degree of control center spread, in favor of the external control center. (Published abstract)
