The research aims to reveal the problems as perceived by the common first year students' king Saud university its relation to attendance and achievement, and the research was conducted on a sample of (675) student of the common first year male with an average age (18.97) and standard deviation (1.9) representing PY tracks at King Saud University, using students problems scale of design researcher and included a problems (academic achievement, economic aspects, interaction and friction with others, psychological aspects, achievement and self-fulfillment) and appeared reliability and validity high scale reaching internal consistency (0.93) for all scale items using the alpha coefficient, used ratios attend students, their grades in the decisions of the common first year, the research found the following results: 1) Academic achievement is linked to problems perceived by the common first year students negatively correlated inversely indicative of the variables (academic problems, economic problems, psychological problems). 2) Linked to attendance problems perceived by the common first year students negatively correlated inversely indicative of the problems of all variables. 3) Academic achievement is affected attendance through high positive correlation, the higher the attendance rose collection. 4) Order of the problems of the common first year students to be the most problems are academic problems, followed by economic problems.
