This study aimed at building a program based on Collaborative Reading approach and Inclination towards reading, and to Evaluate its efficiency on developing critical reading skills and inclination towards reading among first year secondary school female students. To achieve the study objectives, the researcher prepared a suitable list for the sample contained critical reading skills. Tools for data collection were a test designed to assess critical reading skills in addition to, the researcher built a program based on Collaborative Reading approach, and she used a ready scale for assessing inclination for reading. The sample subjects were (8) students divided into two groups: a controlled one included (40) students who were instructed by traditional methods while the experimental group (42) was taught by using Collaborative Reading approach. Then pre/post tests were conducted to all the sample subjects to assess critical reading skills, also the scale for assessing inclination towards reading was applied. The results revealed that there were statically significant differences at a (=0.05) between the mean scores of the controlled group and those of the experimental one on the critical reading skills post –test, and inclination towards reading post application of the scale in favor of the experimental group. According to the findings, the study suggests many recommendations. (Published Abstract)
