The present study aimed at identifying the school self-evaluation in southern Ireland and the possibility of benefiting from it in the Sultanate of Oman. The study used the descriptive method also used analysis of documents in collecting data and information. The results of the study found that there is a limited role for the school councils in following up and supervising the self-evaluation processes, the lack of tools for collecting data and information, and limiting the evaluation in three areas: Teaching, learning and school Management. The study recommended that school boards and parents councils be responsible for supervising, monitoring and evaluating all school self- evaluation processes, Increase the members of the self- evaluation from students, parents and the community, And increase the areas of self- evaluation to include curricula, teachers, school climate, school resources, and community partnership.
