احتلت قضية المواطنة مساحة كبيرة في الدراسات السياسية والاجتماعية والتربوية، وتعددت أبعاد المواطنة في علاقاتها الممتدة عبر قضايا تتمحور في علاقة الفرد بالمجتمع والدولة من خلال أطر قانونية منظمة للحقوق والواجبات، ومبينة مواصفات المواطن وأبعاد المواطنة حسب المنابع الفكرية للدولة ومرجعية نظرياتها السياسية. وحتى تكون المواطنة مبنية على وعي لابد أن تتم بتربية مقصودة تشرف عليها الدولة، يتم من خلالها تعريف الطالب المواطن بالعديد من مفاهيم المواطنة وخصائصها، مثل: مفهوم الوطن، والحكومة، والنظام السياسي، والمجتمع، والشورى، والمشاركة السياسية وأهميتها، والمسؤولية الاجتماعية وصورها، والقانون، والدستور، والحقوق والواجبات، وغيرها من مفاهيم المواطنة وأسسها. هدفت الدراسة الى الإجابة عن التساؤلات الآتية: 1) ما مفهوم المواطنة وأهدافها ومكوناتها ودعائمها؟ 2) ما أسباب ثورة 25 يناير المصرية وأهدافها؟ 3) ما دور الجامعة في تنمية وعي الطلبة بمفهوم المواطنة في ضوء ثورة 25 يناير؟ 4) ما التصور المقترح لدور الجامعة في تنمية وعي الطلبة بمفهوم المواطنة في ضوء ثورة 25 يناير؟ وقد اتبع الباحثان المنهج الوصفي لمناسبته طبيعة الدراسة تمهيدا لاستنباط دور الجامعة في تنمية وعي الطلبة بمفهوم المواطنة في ضوء ثورة 25 يناير بواسطة استجابة أعدت خصيصا لهذا الغرض، وطبقا استبانه لمعرفة هذا الدور على عينة عشوائية من طلبة جامعة أسيوط، وبلغت العينة الكلية للدراسة 432 طالبا وطالبة 201 من الذكور، 231 من الإناث، وطبقت الدراسة في العام الدراسي 2011- 2012. وأظهرت نتائج الدراسة موافقة أفراد العينة ككل على أن الجامعة كان لها دور بارز في تنمية وعي الطلبة بمفهوم المواطنة وكان ذلك واضحا أكثر من خلال دور الأنشطة الطلابية، وكذلك الأستاذ الجامعي، الذى يسهم في تحقيق المواطنة الإيجابية وتنمية الطلاب سياسيا من خلال بث المعتقدات والقيم والاتجاهات والممارسات السياسية التي يتبناها المجتمع، ويمارسها العضو ومن ثم يكتسب الطلاب هذا السلوك السياسي. وقدم الباحثان تصورا مقترحا لدور الجامعة في تنمية المواطنة لدى الطلبة في ضوء ثورة 25 يناير المصرية. Citizenship issue occupied a vast space in the educational, social, and political studies. It has many aspects in its extended relations through issues concerning the relationship among the individual, the community, and the state, through legal frames that organize rights and duties. These issues also, show citizens’ characteristics and citizenship aspects, according to the political theories and the intellectual sources of the state. To be based on awareness, citizenship should be administered by an intended education supervised by the state, to acquaint the citizen student with many citizenship concepts and characteristics, such as home concept, government, political regime, society, consultation, political participation and its importance, social responsibility and its aspects, law, constitution law code, rights and duties, and other citizenship concepts and bases. The study aimed at answering the following questions: 1) What is the concept of citizenship, its aims, constituents, and bases? 2) What are the causes of the 25th January Egyptian Revolution and its aims? 3) What is the role of the university in developing the students’ awareness of citizenship in the light of the 25th January Revolution? 4) What is the suggested perspective of the role of the university in developing the students’ awareness of citizenship in the light of the 25th January Revolution? The researchers used the descriptive method because it is suitable for the nature of study; in order to deduce the role of the university in developing the students’ awareness of citizenship in the light of the 25th January Revolution, through a questionnaire specially prepared for this purpose. They applied this questionnaire, to know this role, on a random sample of Assiut University students. The total sample was 432 students, 201 males and 231 females. The questionnaire was applied in the academic year 2011- 2012. Findings of the study showed a general agreement of the total sample of study that the university had a distinguished role in developing the students’ awareness of citizenship. This was mostly clear through the role of the students’ activities and the university teacher, who contributes in achieving the positive citizenship and developing the students’ awareness through spreading creeds, values, trends, and political behaviors, that the society adopts and the teacher behaves and hence students acquire this political behavior. The researchers introduced a suggested perspective of the role of the university in developing the students’ awareness of citizenship in the light of the 25th January Revolution. (Published abstract)
