استهدفت الدراسة الحالية التعرف على مستوى الفضول المعرفي لدى طالبات المرحلة الإعدادية والتعرف على الفروق في مستوى الفضول المعرفي لدى الطالبات وفقا لمتغير التخصص (إنساني-علمي) وكذلك الفروق في مظاهر الفضول المعرفي لدى الطالبات، ولتحقيق ذلك طورت الباحثة مقياس الفضول المعرفي لسالتر (Slater 2009) وترجمته إلى اللغة العربية، وبعد استخراج الخصائص السيكومترية للمقياس تم تطبيقه على عينة عشوائية من طالبات المرحلة الإعدادية حيث بلغت العينة (200) طالبة. وتوصلت الباحثة إلى نتائج منها أن طالبات المرحلة الإعدادية لديهم فضول معرفي مرتفع وعدم وجود فروق في مستوى الفضول المعرفي بين الطالبات وفقا لنوع التخصص. كما أن مظاهر الفضول الأربعة كانت مرتفعة لدى الطالبات. وبناء على النتائج التي خرجت بها الدراسة تم صياغة توصيات عديدة منها الاستفادة من المقياس الحالي في مجال التوجيه التربوي والتوعية الأسرية بضرورة تعزيز حالات الفضول المعرفي عند بناتهم وذلك بإعداد برامج تلفزيونية وإذاعية وعقد ندوات ودورات تشيد بعدم قمع الفضول المعرفي والسلوك الاستكشافي. وفي ضوء الدراسة وضعت مقترحات كإجراء دراسة مماثلة على عينات أخرى مثل عينات من موظفين في دوائر الدولة، وأساتذة جامعين وإجراء دراسة للتعرف على العلاقة بين الفضول المعرفي ومتغيرات أخرى مثل الاضطرابات السلوكية، الذكاء، التحصيل الدراسي، التفكير الإبداعي. The current study aimed to identify the level of cognitive curiosity for female junior high school students and to identify differences in the level of cognitive curiosity for female students according to the specialty variable (humane-scientific) as well the differences in the manifestations of cognitive curiosity among students. To achieve this, the researcher developed a scale of cognitive curiosity for Slater (2009) and translated it into Arabic, and after extracting the psychometric properties of the scale, it was applied to a random sample of female junior school students, as the sample reached (200) students. The results showed that female junior high school students have a high cognitive curiosity and no differences in the level of cognitive curiosity among female students according to the type of specialization. The four aspects of curiosity were high among female students. Based on the results of the study, several recommendations were formulated, including taking advantage of the current scale in the field of educational guidance and family awareness of the need to enhance cases of cognitive curiosity for their daughters by preparing TV and radio programs and holding seminars and courses praising not to suppress cognitive curiosity and exploratory behavior. In light of the study, proposals were developed as a scale a similar study on other samples such as samples from employees in state departments and university professors. And conducting a study to identify the relationship between cognitive curiosity and other variables such as behavioral disorders, intelligence, academic achievement and creative thinking.
