هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على واقع استخدام أعضاء هيئة تدريس اللغة الإنجليزية بجامعة القصيم لاستراتيجيات التقويم الواقعي وأدواته. واستخدمت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، حيث اشتملت أدوات الدراسة على الاستبانة بعد التحقق من صدقها وثباتها. تكونت عينة الدراسة المكونة من (36) عضوًا من أعضاء هيئة تدريس اللغة الإنجليزية في جامعة القصيم. أظهرت النتائج أن درجة تطبيق أعضاء هيئة التدريس لاستراتيجية القلم والورقة كانت عالية، بينما كانت درجة تطبيقهم متوسطة لاستراتيجيات التقويم المعتمد على الأداء، والتواصل ومراجعة الذات، بينما كانت درجة تطبيقهم قليلة لاستراتيجية الملاحظة ولاستخدام أدوات التقويم الواقعي. كما دلت النتائج على عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية تُعزى لمتغيرات الدراسة التخصص الأكاديمي، والرتبة العلمية، والجنس. وفي ضوء نتائج الدراسة خلصت الدراسة إلى عدد من التوصيات. The study aimed at investigating the reality of implementing authentic evaluation strategies and its tools by English language faculty members at Qassim University. The study used analytical descriptive methodology, and the questionnaire was used as the tool for collecting data after verifying its validity and reliability. The study sample consisted of (36) English language faculty members of Qassim University. Results of the study revealed that the degree of instructors' use of pencil and paper strategy was high, while it was intermediate for that of performance - based assessment strategy, the reflection assessment strategy, and the communication strategy, and it was low for the observation strategy and alternative assessment tools. Results also revealed that there were no statistically significant differences in the degree of faculty members' use of authentic evaluation strategies related to the effect of faculty members’ specialization, Academic Rank, or gender. Recommendations were offered in light of the results of the study at the end. (Published abstract)
