إن الإشراف عملية تفاعل إنسانية اجتماعية تهدف إلى رفع مستوى المعلم المهني من أجل رفع كفاءته التعليمية، فهو عملية ديمقراطية تعاونية طرفاها المشرف التربوي والمعلم، تهدف على اكتشاف وتفهم أهداف التعليم ومساعدة المعلم ليتقبل هذه الأهداف ويعمل على تحقيقها، وهذا يتطلب من المشرف التربوي أن يقتحم الميدان ليساعد المدرسين على تجاوز المشكلات التي يواجهونها، لذلك لا يمكنه أن ينشط من فراغ، بل لابد له من أساليب لتحفيز المعلمين وحثهم على العمل، فالحوافز تقوم بدور الموجه والمنظم للأداءات وتحافظ على استمراريتها. ونظرا لأهمية هذه الأساليب التحفيزية في تفعيل عملية الإشراف التربوي، والسير بها في الاتجاه الذي يخدم المعلم بالدرجة الأولى باعتباره المستفيد الأول من الخدمات الإشرافية التي يقدمها المشرف أو المفتش ارتأينا البحث في هذا الموضوع بغية إثرائه. Supervision is a process of social and human interaction aimed at raising the level of the professional teacher in order to raise his educational efficiency. It is a cooperative democratic process its two parts are the educational supervisor and the teacher. It aims at discovering and understanding the objectives of education and helping the teacher to accept these goals and work towards achieving them. This requires the educational supervisor to enter the field to help teachers overcome the problems they face, so he cannot be activated from a vacuum; but he must have methods to motivate teachers to work, because those motives act as the regulator and organizer of the performances and maintain their continuity. And due to the importance of these motivational methods in activating the educational supervision process, leading it to the direction that serves the teacher mainly as the first beneficiary of the supervisory services provided by the supervisor or inspector, we decided to study this theme in order to enrich it.
