The present research aimed to develop Egyptian universities according to the model of fourth generation universities in order to overcome the challenges of the fourth industrial revolution. Therefore, the research depended on the descriptive research, in order to describe what is the fourth industrial revolution and the most important challenges and opportunities it provides, and the most important skills required for it, then clarify the most important features of fourth generation universities. Then the research try to discover the actuality of Egyptian universities according to the mean features of fourth generation universities and this is what the field research aimed, which concluded that Egyptian universities are distinguished by number of strengths, such as: Egyptian universities provide some programs electronically and other programs are provided by Blended learning system, and The study system in Egyptian universities and the offered courses help in developing self-learning skills, add to that the Scientific research contributes to discovering new technologies and developing available technologies, also The university is interested in achieving creativity and innovation in scientific research. Although it suffers from a number of weaknesses, such as: the rigidity of the organizational structure of universities without any development with Era variables, and the lack of communication between the various local and regional universities, there are no systems for exchanging students and faculty between them, and weak of depending on the technology of 3D printing with scientific research, also lack of funding for scientific research, and the low skill level of graduates. Based on the above, the research suggested a vision for developing Egyptian universities into fourth-generation universities, which will help to face the challenges of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and benefit from the opportunities it provides.
