This study aimed to identify the challenges that facing women academic leaders in Saudi developed universities. In order to achieve the study objectives, the researcher developed a questionnaire that included 27 items. After verifying its reliability, it was applied to a sample of (214) women academic leaders in Saudi universities. The researcher also interviewed a group of women leaders to achieve the goal of the third question. The results of the study showed that the challenges facing women academic leaders with an average of (3.8). The results also showed that there is no statistically significant difference at the level of significance (α=.05). Finally, the study included several recommendations, such as enhancement of social awareness to prove the role of Saudi women in developed universities, especially with the increasing of women numbers in universities, and provide an appropriate working environment in line with the role of women responsibilities toward their families.
