هدفت الدراسة الحالية الى استطلاع آراء أعضاء هيئة التدريس بجامعة طيبة حول واقع متطلبات جودة التعليم بالجامعة، ومعرفة ما إذا كان هناك اختلاف بين وجهات نظرهم تبعا لمتغيرات الجنس والرتبة الأكاديمية ونوع الكلية. وتكون مجتمع الدراسة من أعضاء هيئة التدريس في كليات التربية، والعلوم، والحاسب الآلي، والآداب والعلوم الإنسانية، بجامعة طيبة، والبالغ عددهم (588) للعام الدراسي 2013-2014، أما عينة الدراسة فقد تكونت من (172) من الذكور والإناث في الكليات الأربع. ولتحقيق هدف الدراسة قام الباحث بإعداد استبانة تكونت من (16) فقرة موزعة على ثلاثة مجالات، شملت الفلسفة التربوية، والحرية الأكاديمية، والبحث العلمي. وقد تمّ التأكد من صدق الأداة وثباتها. وتوصلت الدراسة في نتائجها إلى أن استجابات أعضاء هيئة التدريس بجامعة طيبة في مجالي الفلسفة التربوية، والحرية الأكاديمية جاءت بدرجة كبيرة، بينما جاء المتوسط الحسابي لاستجاباتهم في مجال البحث العلمي بدرجة متوسطة. كما أظهرت نتائج الدراسة عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية تعزى إلى متغيري الجنس، والكلية، بينما، وجدت فروقا دالة إحصائيا تعزى لمتغير المرتبة العلمية لصالح كل من الأستاذ والأستاذ المشارك، وذلك يعود إلى الخبرة المتراكمة لديهم، ومعرفتهم لمتطلبات الارتقاء بجودة التعليم الجامعي. وقد أوصت الدراسة بأن تقوم جامعة طيبة بتحديد فلسفة تربوية إسلامية ووطنية واضحة لها، ومنسجمة مع فلسفة المجتمع الذي تعيش فيه، وفلسفة الأمة التي ينتمي إليها مجتمعها المحلي. وتنصيب إدارة فعالة تقوم بعمليات التنظيم والأشراف والتنسيق والتقويم والتطوير، وتحديد احتياجات البحث العلمي وأولوياته ومجالاته. The present study aimed to explore Taibah University faculty members' perspectives on the academic education requirements at university and to find out if there are differences among their perspectives depending on the variables of gender, academic degree and college. The study population consisted of 588 faculty members in the colleges of Education, Science, Computer Science, and Arts and Humanities at Taibah University during the academic year 2013/2014. The study sample consisted of 172 males and females in these four colleges. To achieve the objective of this study, the researcher prepared a questionnaire which consisted of 16 items distributed over three areas, including educational philosophy, academic freedom and scientific research. After checking and proving the validity and reliability of the research tools, the study concluded that the responses of Taibah University faculty members in the fields of educational philosophy and academic freedom were significantly high, whereas the average of their responses in the field of scientific research was moderate. The study also showed that there were no statistically significant differences attributed to the variables of gender and college. Other statistically significant differences were discovered and attributed to the variable of the academic degree of the professor and the associate professor. This was due to their accumulated experience and their knowledge of the requirements for improving the quality of university education. The study recommended that Taibah University define a clear, educational, Islamic, national philosophy and establish an active administration which undertakes the processes of regulation, supervision, coordination, evaluation and promotion; and to identify the requirements, priorities and areas of scientific research.
