هدفت الدراسة الحالية إلى دراسة العلاقة الارتباطية بين التعاطف الذاتي والاهتمام الاجتماعي، وكذلك التعرف إلى مستوى التعاطف الذاتي والاهتمام الاجتماعي لدى طلبة الجامعة الأردنية. ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة، تم تطوير وتطبيق مقياسي التعاطف الذاتي والاهتمام الاجتماعي بعد التحقق من صدقهما وثباتهما على عينة مؤلفة من (100) طالب وطالبة من طلبة السنة الأولى الملتحقين بتخصصي الإرشاد والصحة النفسية والتربية الخاصة في الجامعة الأردنية. أظهرت نتائج الدراسة وجود مستوى متوسط في الدرجة الكلية لمقياس التعاطف الذاتي. حيث كانت الأبعاد: الحكم الذاتي، والعزلة، والإفراط في تحديد هوية الذات بالمستوى المتوسط. بينما الأبعاد: اللطف الذاتي، والصفات الإنسانية المشتركة، واليقظة العقلية كانت ذات مستوى منخفض. كما بينت النتائج وجود مستوى متوسط في الدرجة الكلية لمقياس الاهتمام الاجتماعي. وقد أظهرت النتائج أيضا وجود علاقة ارتباطية إيجابية بين التعاطف الذاتي والاهتمام الاجتماعي لدى طلبة الجامعة الأردنية. The objective of current study was to study the correlation relationship between self-compassion and social interest. And to know self-compassion and social interest level with the University of Jordan students. A scale with satisfactory content validity and internal consistency was developed and constructed on (100) first year students who study counseling and psychological health and special education at the University of Jordan. The results showed that students possess an intermediate level in self-compassion scale. Where the dimensions: self-judgment, isolation, an over-identification were at the intermediate level. While dimensions: self-kindness, common humanity, and mindfulness were at low level. Furthermore, the results revealed that students possess an intermediate level in social interest scale. The results also revealed a positive correlation relationship between self-compassion and social interest with the University of Jordan students. (Published abstract)
