هدفت الدراسة التعرف إلى درجة امتلاك مديري المدارس للكفايات التقنية في محافظة الظاهرة بسلطنة عمان. ومن أجل تحقيق الهدف تم بناء استبانة مكونة من (34) فقرة موزعة على (4) مجالات رئيسة وبعد التحقق من صدقها وثباتها، طبقت على (82) مدير مدرسة، وللإجابة عن أسئلة الدراسة استخدمت المتوسطات الحسابية، والانحرافات المعيارية، وتحليل التباين، واختبار t-test. ومن أبرز النتائج التي توصلت إليها الدراسة أنَّ درجة امتلاك مديري المدارس للكفايات التقنية في محافظة الظاهرة بسلطنة عمان (متوسطة)، كذلك أظهرت النتائج عدم وجود فروق في درجة امتلاك مديري المدارس للكفايات التقنية في محافظة الظاهرة بسلطنة عمان تعزى لمتغيرات: النوع الاجتماعي، وسنوات الخبرة، والمؤهل العلمي. وكانت أبرز التوصيات التركيز على الكفايات التقنية التي احتلت أولويات أكثر من غيرها عند تصميم برامج تدريبية لمديري المدارس وتلبية الكفايات التي كشفت عنها الدراسة. This study aimed at identifying the degree of possessing technical skills by school principals in al-Dahra Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman. To achieve the study objective, a questionnaire consisting of 34 items was distributed over four main dimensions and applied on 82 school principals after testing its validity and reliability. One of the major findings of the study is that the degree of possessing technical skills by school principals in al-Dahra Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman were medium. In addition, there were significant statistical differences at the level a = 0.05 among the evaluation of school principals in favor to gender, years of experience, and qualification. In light of the results of the study, the researcher recommended focusing on the technical skills that occupied the highest priorities when designing training programs for school principals and meeting the needs revealed by the study.
