The present study aims to verify the effectiveness of training on the solution of creative problems using some of the strategies model (TRIS) in the development of some metacognitive skills of the female students the Faculty of Education. The sample consisted of (60) female students from the College of Education. They were divided randomly into two groups, experimental and control groups . Several modules were applied in a manner of creative solution to problems using strategies model (TRIS), designed by the researcher and their number was fourteen. They were implemented for seven weeks in the first semester 1430/1431. To measure the effectiveness of training on the solution of creative problems using some of the strategies model (TRIS) in the development of some cognitive skills of the research sample, an inventory of evaluating metacognitive skills designed by self-report technique was applied on both control and experimental groups at the beginning and end of the training as a pre-post inventory. After the completion of data collection averages and standard deviations for the prepost performance of self-report skills of cognitive skills were calculated; and the value of "t" for independent samples to test the differences between the experimental and control groups was used. The analysis of variance was used to identify the effectiveness of training in the creative solution of problems by using some strategies model (TRIS). The study revealed the existence of differences of statistical significance at the level (≥0 1‚0) between the average performance of the experimental group who had training method to solve creative problems using some of the strategies model (TRIS) and the average performance of students from the control group and who had been trained traditionally to solve problems, and on self-report form to metacognitive skills, these differences were in favor of the experimental group, indicating the effectiveness of the method of creative solution to problems using some of the strategies model (TRIS) in the development of metacognitive skills.
