استهدفت الدراسة الحالية بشكل رئيس دراسة العلاقة بين فاعلية الذات الإبداعية والتفكير فوق المعرفي لدى طالبات الدبلوم المهني في التدريس بجامعة أبو ظبي، وقد شملت عينة الدراسة (135) طالبة في العام الجامعي 2015/ 2016، وتم استخدام مقياس سشراو ودينسن (Schraw & Dennison, 1994) للتفكير فوق المعرفي، ومقياس أبوت (Abbott, 2010) لفاعلية الذات الإبداعية، وقد أشارت نتائج الدراسة إلى أن مستوى كل من فاعلية الذات الإبداعية والتفكير فوق المعرفي كان مرتفعا، كما أشارت النتائج إلى وجود فروقٍ ذات دلالةٍ إحصائية عند مستوى الدلالة (α= 0.05) في فاعلية الذات الإبداعية باختلاف التخصص في مرحلة البكالوريوس لصالح التخصصات العلمية، وعدم وجود فروقٍ في التفكير فوق المعرفيّ باختلاف التخصص، إضافة إلى ذلك فقد أشارت النتائج إلى وجود علاقة تنبؤية بين فاعلية الذات الإبداعية والتفكير فوق المعرفي، بمعنى أنه يمكن التنبؤ بفاعلية الذات الإبداعية من خلال التفكير فوق المعرفي، وتوصي الدراسة بعمل دراساتٍ أخرى لمعرفة العوامل الأخرى غير مهارات التفكير فوق المعرفيّ التي يمكن أن تتنبأ بفاعلية الذات الإبداعية. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between creative self-efficacy and metacognitive thinking among female students in the professional postgraduate diploma-teaching program at Abu Dhabi University. The research sample consisted of (135) female students. The study was conducted during the academic year 2015/ 2016. In order to achieve the objectives of the study, Schraw and Dennision, (1994) and Abbott (2010) scales were applied for metacognitive thinking and creative self-efficacy, respectively. The results showed that the means of the sample's members on the creative self-efficacy and metacognitive thinking scales was high (> 3.67 out of 5); also, the results revealed that the mean score of self-efficacy of science background students (bachelor of Science holders) was statistically higher (P < 0.05) compared with students of arts background, while there is no statistically significance differences in metacognitive thinking between both groups. Moreover, regression analyses revealed that metacognitive thinking scores could be predicted with high confidence using creative self-efficacy scores. It was suggested that other studies should be conducted to elucidate the most significant factors that might be associated creative self-efficacy. (Published Abstract)
