هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على العلاقة بين أساليب الضبط الاجتماعي السائدة ومستوى الطموح عند طلبة المرحلة الثانوية، واستخدمت الباحثة المنهج الوصفي الارتباطي. ولتحقيق هدف الدراسة تمّ استخدام استبانة أساليب الضبط الاجتماعي، مكونة من 47 فقرة موزعة على مجالين (المجال الأول: العقوبات، والمجال الثاني: المكافآت(؛ من إعداد (الباحثة 2005)، وتمّ التحقق من صدقها وثباتها، كما استُخدمت استبانة مستوى الطموح التي أعدتها (جويدة 2015) المكونة من 42 فقرة موزعة على خمسة أبعاد، وتكونت عينة الدراسة من 367 طالباً وطالبة من طلبة مديرية عمان الرابعة. وقد أظهرت نتائج الدراسة أن أكثر أساليب الضبط الاجتماعي المستخدمة في مجال العقوبات: تأنيبك على المخالفات التي قمت بها. وفي مجال المكافآت: "تعزيز سلوكك الجيد أمام الطلبة علانية". كما أظهرت النتائج أن مستوى الطموح لدى الطلبة حصل على درجة مرتفعة، بمتوسط حسابي 2.4، وأظهرت النتائج أيضاً أنه لا توجد علاقة بين أساليب الضبط الاجتماعي ومستوى الطموح لدى الطلبة، وتوجد فروق ذوات دلالة إحصائية في أساليب الضبط الاجتماعي تعزى لمتغير الجنس، وكانت الفروق لصالح الذكور في العقوبات، ولصالح الإناث في المكافآت. وتبين وجود فروق ذوات دلالة إحصائية في مستوى الطموح تعزى لمتغير الجنس، لصالح الإناث في جميع أبعاد الدراسة. The study aimed to identify the relationship between the prevailing social control patterns and the level of ambition among secondary school students. The researcher used the Associative descriptive. To achieve the objective of the study, a questionnaire used to identify the use patterns of social control by the researcher 2005, and verified its validity and reliability. It consisted of 47 paragraphs, distributed on two fields (first field: penalties, second fields: bonuses,) and Also it used a questionnaire is prepared too by the level of ambition that Jawideh 2015 consisted of 42 items distributed on five dimensions, The sample of the study consisted of 367 students from fourth Oman Directorate students. The results showed that the more social control patterns used in the area of penalties: blaming/ punishing the irregularities that you made and in the area of bonuses “promoting good behavior publically in front of students, results showed that the level of ambition of students that have high degree, with a mean 2.4, results also showed that there is no relationship between the prevailing patterns of social control and the level of students’ ambition, there were significant statistically differences in the social control patterns due to the variable sex, and also there were statistically significant differences at the in term of ambition due to the variable sex.
