هدفت الدراسة الى تعرف مدى تطبيق وتفضيل وخوف الطلاب من أساليب التقويم البديل، وذلك من وجهة نظر الطلاب وأعضاء هيئة التدريس بجامعة شقراء. ولتحقيق هذا الهدف تم تصميم مقياس لجمع المعلومات الضرورية للإجابة عن أسئلة الدراسة مستعينًا بالأدب التربوي والدراسات السابقة. وتكونت عينة الدراسة من 200 طالب وطالبة و82 عضو هيئة تدريس بالمرحلة الجامعية للفصل الدراسي الثاني للعام 1432/ 1433ف، وكشفت الدراسة: أن الاختبارات الموضوعية والاختبارات التي يعدها الأساتذة هي الأكثر تطبيقًا وتفضيلًا، وجاءت الاختبارات الشفوية الأكثر خوفا، وذلك من وجهة نظر عينة الدراسة من الطلاب وأعضاء هيئة التدريس. وجاءت النتائج محققة لفروض الدراسة باستثناء بعض الفروق الخاصة بالكليتين "المجتمع والعلوم" وبالأقسام "العلمية والأدبية" وتم تفسيرها في إطار اختلاف طبيعة البرامج التعليمية، وخلصت إلى مجموعة من التوصيات والبحوث المقترحة. The Study aims at identifying the extent to which students apply, prefer & appreherd alternative evaluation styles; as expressed in their points of view, as well as those of the faculty members of Shaqra University (KSA). A measure¬ment tool-based on literature review- was developed to collect data. The study sample comprises 200 students and 82 faculty members, during the second semester 1432-1433. Results indicate: 1) MCQ and essay items developed by faculty members are the mostly applied and preferred. Oral tests are the mostly apprehended; as seen by the whole sample. 2) Study hypotheses were verified except some significant differences between colleges (Social Studies & Science), as well as the two main study majors (Scientific & Literary). Interpretation is provided in accordance with the nature of courses, as indicated by parties involved. Some recommendations are cited. (Published abstract)
