هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على واقع ممارسة القيادة الابتكارية لدى رؤساء الأقسام في كلية التربية في جامعة الأمير سطام بن عبدالعزيز، وتم استخدام المنهج الوصفي المسحي، والاستبانة كأداة للدراسة، وتكون مجتمع الدراسة من جميع أعضاء هيئة التدريس بكلية التربية في جامعة الأمير سطام بن عبد العزيز، حيث طبقت الدراسة على (116) عضو هيئة تدريس، وأظهرت نتائج الدراسة أن ممارسة القيادة الابتكارية من قبل رؤساء الأقسام من وجهة نظر أعضاء هيئة التدريس كان متوسط، وأن المعوقات إدارية وأكاديمية التي تحد ممارسة أبعاد القيادة الابتكارية في الكلية كان غالبا، ومن توصيات الدراسة العمل على إضفاء مرونة أكبر على الإجراءات المتبعة في الجامعة والعمل على تقليل ضغوط العمل على رؤساء الأقسام عن طريق تشجيعهم على ممارسة القيادة الموزعة وإعادة النظر في مهام أعضاء هيئة التدريس وإحداث توازن بينها. The study aimed to recognize the reality of the practice of innovative leadership among department heads in the College of Education at Prince Sattam Bin Abdulaziz University, and to recognize the obstacles to the practice of innovative leadership, and to achieve the goals of the study, the survey descriptive approach was used, and the questionnaire as a tool for study, and the study community is composed of all faculty members the College of Education at Prince Sattam Bin Abdulaziz University, where the study was applied to (116) faculty members, and the results of the study showed that the practice of innovative leadership by department heads from the viewpoint of faculty members was (sometimes), and that administrative and academic obstacles that limit the practice of the dimensions of innovative leadership in the college were (often), and one of the study recommendations was to work to give more flexibility to the procedures followed at the university and work to reduce the work pressure on the heads of departments by encouraging them to exercise distributed leadership, reviewing the tasks of faculty members and striking a balance between them.
