هدفت الدراسة الحالية الكشف عن مستوى الذكاء الانفعالي لدى عينة من الطلبة المتفوقين وغير المتفوقين في مدارس محافظة الكرك/الاردن، وعلاقته بالتحصيل الدراسي، ولتحقيق هذا الهدف تم استخدام مقياس بار- أون (Bar-ON) للذكاء الانفعالي، وتم ايجاد دلالات الصدق والثبات لهذا المقياس، وتكونت عينة الدراسة من (100) طالب، منهم (50) طالبا متفوقا تم اختيارهم بالطريقة المتيسرة من مدرسة الملك عبدالله الثاني للتميز، و(50) طالب غير متفوق تم اختيارهم بالطريقة العشوائية العنقودية من مدرسة الأمير حسن الثانوية والمسجلين جميعهم خلال العام الدراسي 2017/2018، ولأغراض الدراسة تم استخدام المنهج الوصفي الارتباطي، وبعد تحليل البيانات المتجمعة لدى الباحث توصلت الدراسة الى نتائج تفيد بأن مستوى الذكاء الانفعالي الكلي وأبعاده لدى الطلبة المتفوقين وغير المتفوقين جاء مرتفعا، باستثناء بعد المزاج العام جاء متوسطا للطلبة غير المتفوقين، كما أشارت نتائج الدراسة الى عدم وجود علاقة ارتباطية في مستوى الذكاء الانفعالي والتحصيل الدراسي لدى الطلبة المتفوقين وغير المتفوقين، وفي ضوء النتائج المذكورة تم اقتراح عددا من التوصيات. The purpose of this study is to investigate the level of emotional intelligence in a sample of outstanding and non-outstanding students in the schools of Karak / Jordan and its relationship to academic achievement. To achieve this purpose, bar - on model of emotional intelligence has been used. Validity and reliability were obtained. The study sample consists of (100) students, 50 of which were outstanding students who were selected in the way available from King Abdullah II School for Excellence, and 50 non-outstanding students who were selected by random cluster method from Prince Hassan High School and who registered during the academic year 2017/2018. For the purposes of the study, the descriptive correlational approach has been used, after analyzing the collected data, the study concluded that the level of total emotional intelligence and its dimensions among outstanding and non-outstanding students is high, except the general mood dimension which is intermediate for non-outstanding students, and also there is no correlational relationship between the level of emotional intelligence and academic achievement for outstanding and non-outstanding students. In light of the mentioned results, a number of recommendations were suggested. (Published abstract)
