The main purpose of this study was an attempt to find out the effectiveness of a training program to develop the phonological perception and the verbal expression for a sample of children of kindergarten who suffered from delayed language. The language test was applied to a sample of (130) children, males and females who aged (5-6) years. After diagnosis, the researcher found out that (30) out of the (130) children have delayed language. This sample was divided into two groups: The first group, the experimental group consisted of (15) children. The second group, the control group consisted of (15) children. The training program to develop the phonological perception and the verbal expression, then, was applied to the experimental group. The results of the study showed that there were statistical significant differences between the average of the children's scores of both groups- the experimental group and the control group- in the phonological perception, verbal expression, -and language tests in favor of the experimental group. On the other hand, there were no statistical significant differences between the average scores based on gender, males vs. females, of the experimental group in the post tests. In addition, there were no statistical significant differences between the average scores for experimental group in the post tests. (Published abstract)
