This study aims to find out about salt high primary teachers views about obstacles and solutions in the use of computer as an instructional method in teaching history to their students. Moreover, the study tried to show whether there were any differences in facing these obstacles based on gender, experience and number of class period. The study sample included all the thirty-six (36)-history teachers in salt education directory. The study used a questionnaire about four types of obstacles to collect data. The results showed that the obstacles of facing the use of the computer use as instructional way in teaching history for high primary stage are more apparent in the field of decided subject and student more than in the ones related to teachers and computer field. The history teachers view about the most important solution to improve computer usage to challenges these obstacles are as follows. Firstly, each class should have computer under the teachers’ supervision. Secondly link computer laboratories to internet to serve teacher and students. Thirdly, computerize history subject for all classes of this stage. Fourthly, show that history subject is as important as other subjects are. The results of students answer of the given exam show that there are no statistically significant differences related to experience and number of periods in computer usage obstacles. In the field of obstacles in the use of computer. Males were statistically different form females. The exceptions were in student computer fields. (Published abstract)
