The present paper aims at knowing the effect of samples of “Woods and Landa” on acquiring historic and motivated concepts in Intermediate second-stage students. In order to achieve this research, the researcher has placed hypotheses hereunder: 1) There are not statistically differences between averages of grades for three groups studying History: the 1st experimental group studying the history with sample of (Woods), the 2nd experimental group studying the history with the sample of “Landa” and the control group studying the same subject with the traditional method in the test of acquiring historical conceptions. 2) There are not statistically differences between averages of grades for three groups studying History: 1st group studying the history with sample of (Woods), 2nd experimental group studying the same subject with the sample of “Landa” and the control group studying the subject with the traditional method in testing the motivation. The researcher has chosen an experimental design for three groups, two experimental groups and one control group, with before and after test (partial control). The researcher has intentionally chosen intermediate second –stage students (from 1st Rusafa-related intermediate school of Al-Andulus for boys) for the studying year 2012- 2013 in order to apply the experiment and she has also defined sample with three groups: 1) The 1st experimental group with 30 students studying Islamic Arabic history by using Woods sample. 2) The 2nd experimental group with 30 students studying the Islamic Arabic History by using Landa sample. 3) The 3rd control group with 30 students studying Islamic Arabic history with traditional method. The researcher paid much attention on equalization of 3groups students statistically in number of variables which include (the age, intelligence, education for father and mother and motivation scale). The researcher has defined the subject to be studied during the experiment, that includes two chapters (1st chapter the thesis and the second is the era of caliphates of “Al-Rashideen” from the Islamic Arabic book – 26th edition, year 2013 (for the first chapter), then the researcher has worded behavioral goals in the light of general goals (scaling behavioral goals, processes of conception assimilation). The researcher has prepared 24 plans daily for every group of three groups. The research gas also prepared a test for acquiring historical conceptions (multi-test), consisting of 72 items. The test has been confirmed for its outer reliability, its content reliability, its distinguishing strength, its difficulty coefficient and other mistake alternatives activity. In respect to the test’s consistency, it has been extracted by using the equation of Alfa, where it has amounted 0,83 which is a good consistency coefficient. The experiment procedures have been continued for 13 weeks, by the end, it has been applied test of acquiring historical conceptions and motivation scale. The researcher has used suitable statistic methods as to carry out the research goals. The study has placed results hereunder: 1) The superiority of two experimental groups studying the sample of (Woods and Landa) over the control group using the traditional method in the test of acquiring historical concepts. 2) The superiority of two experimental groups studying with the sample of (Woods and Landa) over the control group using the traditional method. The present paper concluded with a set of conclusions, recommendations and suggestions that benefit the concerned persons in the texts and teaching method: 1) The teaching by using the sample of (Woods and Landa) grants a positive role for the students away from the delivering method. It organizes the content in accordance to two samples giving questions and exciting former experiences, to be linked to new teaching. This lead to teaching the concept in a better way. 2) Following up steps of two samples in teaching the historical concepts added to the subject a vital impression, sent ecstasy within the students, motivated within motivation toward the subject. This what has been confirmed the ultimate results. 3) Establishing training courses for teachers of history on how to use the sample of (Woods and Landa), through holding course and educational forums by the ministry of Education as to develop the efficiency of teachers. 4) Preparing a guide by the specialized committee in the ministry of Education, including methods of teaching (different and modern), especially the sample of (Woods and landa) that could be benefited into studying the subject and to be distributed on teachers and secondary and intermediate schools. As to complete this study, the researcher suggested to make studies identical to the current one: 1) Studying the effect of sample of Woods and Landa in other variables just like innovative and scientific thinking and criticism. 2) Studying according to these two samples in acquiring historical concepts and motivation toward the subject in other studying classes.
