The research aimed to reveal the effectiveness of discussions based on probing questions in the electronic learning environment in treating the shortcomings and weaknesses of student teachers in achievement and raising the level of self-efficacy among students of educational technology, through discussions based on probing questions in the electronic learning environment. A sample of (70) male and female students from the third year, Department of Educational Technology, Faculty of Specific Education, South Valley University, who are studying the course of choosing teaching aids. They were divided into two experimental groups. One of them studies using electronic discussions, and the other studies using electronic discussions based on sounding questions, and the measurement tools included an achievement test and a measure of self-efficacy. Educational Technology. The study recommended the use of discussions based on sounding questions in e-learning environments. Because it contributes to the development of achievement and raises the level of self-efficacy among students, and training to include probing questions in discussions in electronic learning environments.
