This study aimed to identify the degree to which teachers of students with intellectual disability apply palliative education strategies in in order to reduce maladaptive behaviors in the city of Jeddah, in light of some variables like (gender and degree of disability), the study sample consisted of (154) of the working male and female teachers of students with intellectual disabilities, which were chosen randomly, using the descriptive survey method. The results of the study revealed that the application of teachers of students with intellectual disabilities of palliative education strategies in reducing maladaptive behaviors was very high, and the dimension (educational foundations of palliative education) was ranked first and was very high, followed by the dimension (supportive techniques in light of palliative education) and it was very high, and in the third and last place came the dimension (Techniques and strategies of palliative education in reducing maladaptive behaviors) and it was high, and the results showed differences attributed to the gender variable and came in favor of females, on the level of the degree of disability variable, the results showed statistically significant differences in favor of those with severe disabilities. The two researchers recommended the importance of including the techniques of palliative education strategies in each of the curricula of graduate students, and to include them in educational and training programs provided for people with disabilities.
