This study aims to explore the understanding and measurement of the behavior of students (males and females) in the Department of Library and Information in the Faculty of Basic Education, and their perceptions towards the effectiveness of mobile education. It focuses on the ways and means mobile phones are used to support the learning process of students of library and information science department at the College of Basic Education in Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET) in the State of Kuwait. The uniqueness of the study has been enhanced and the original contribution of this work has been further enhanced through a methodology for collecting and analyzing data from a questionnaire prepared specifically for this purpose. This was achieved by interpreting the data collected to explore the actual daily use of 679 students (males and females), as well as their behaviors towards mobile devices for educational purposes at the college. The findings show that some students are already using their mobile devices to support their learning to an extent and also identified some potential ways to use mobile devices to further support the learning process of students.
