The research aims to: 1) developing literary taste among second year secondary students using a strategy (mental visualization - inference). 2) Developing creative thinking skills among second year secondary students using a strategy (mental visualization - inference). Search procedures: preparing research tools and educational materials (two lists of skills for literary appreciation and creative thinking - educational content), teaching them to the three research groups according to the specific research methodology, applying the two prepared research tests, recording the results and then analyzing them statistically using appropriate statistical equations, interpreting the results, monitoring and analyzing the results, and data processing, statistical results and interpretation, and recommendations and proposals in the light of the results. Research Results: The research results revealed: statistical treatments of the results obtained and the results of the research experiment proved that there were statistically significant differences at the level (0.05) between the mean scores of the mean scores of the students of the two experimental groups of the study, and the mean scores of the students of the control group in favor of the mean scores of the two experimental groups after the post-application of my tests literary appreciation and creative thinking on the students of the two experimental groups, and the effect size values ranged between (0.725-0.821), which is a significant average. In light of the results of the statistical treatments of the data and the previous results, it is clear that the use of the two strategies (mental visualization - inference) has a positive effect on the development of literary appreciation and creative thinking skills among second year secondary students.
