The objective of this research is to investigate the impact of the teaching model based on the theory of flow in the teaching of reading on the development of the reading achievement, the creative Writing skills and the linguistic sense of the first year of secondary school students. The research problem has been identified in the low level of the first-grade secondary school students in their reading achievement, the creative Writing skills and the linguistic sense. To achievement the search objectives, the educational materials were prepared which included the teacher's guide, the student handbook, and the test reading achievement, the measure of linguistic sense, the test of linguistic sense. The research group has been selected; the post- instruments have applied, then teaching the reading topics assessed for the first-grade secondary school students for the two groups (the control and the experimental). The researcher followed in the teaching of reading for the experimental group the teaching model that based on the flow theory, while the control group received the usual way in teaching. Then the search tools were applied, and the results were processed statistically, and the results were as follows: 1) There is a statistically significant difference at the level of (05.) between the mean scores of the two groups (experimental and control) in the post application to: test the reading achievement - test the linguistic sense for the experimental group. 2) No statistically significant difference at the level of (05.) between the mean scores of the two groups (experimental and control) in the dimensional scale application of linguistic sense. The search ended with some recommendations and proposals that can be used in the teaching of Arabic language branches. (Published abstract)
