The current study aimed to determine the professional growth needs of computer teachers in the light of professional standards in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The descriptive analytical approach was used by applying a questionnaire prepared for this purpose consisting of (36) phrases distributed over three areas: the domain of professional values and responsibilities, the domain of professional knowledge and the domain of practice. On a sample of (62) computer teachers in the Bisha governorate in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, randomly selected. the results indicated that the most important of these needs came in the field of professional practice (to a large extent) with an average of 3.68, and the most important needs came in this field In training on planning to teach according to curriculum standards and in proportion to the characteristics of learners and evaluation data (to a large extent) with an average of 3.94, followed by the field of professional knowledge (to a large extent) with an average of 3.57. General teaching to a large extent with an average of 3.49 and finally the domain of professional values and responsibilities (to a large extent) with an average of 3.35 and came the most important These needs "recognize educational policies and regulations" (to a large extent) with an average of 3.69. The results indicated that there were no statistically significant differences of 0.05 in the professional growth needs due to the variable number of years of service. The study recommends reviewing the training programs offered to computer teachers to ensure their suitability to their actual needs. (Published abstract)
