This study aimed to reveal the effect of the five-year learning cycle on scientific achievement and motivation towards learning science among eighth grade female students compared to the usual method. It consisted of (20) students and a control group consisting of (20) students. To achieve the objectives of the study, the educational material was designed according to the five-year learning cycle for the fourth unit of the eighth-grade science book. An achievement test consisting of (20) multiple-choice items was prepared, and a measure of motivation towards science learning consisting of (25) items was developed. The results showed that there was a statistically significant difference at the significance level (α = 0.05) between the two arithmetic mean scores of the two groups (experimental and control) in the achievement test and the measure of motivation towards learning science in favor of the experimental group. The study recommended using the five-year learning cycle strategy (5Es) in teaching science, and training teachers on how to apply it because of its importance in increasing student achievement and stimulating their motivation.
