مشكلات تعليـم الرحل في ولاية شمال دارفور (السودان) : دراسة تطبيقية على منطقة كبكابية

The study aimed to know the reality of Nomadic education at Northern Dar fur by applying in Kabkabiya area in order to determine the main reasons that limit their enrollment in education, and to know the efforts made to develop nomads in Darfur in general and the study area in particular. To achieve the objectives of the study the inductive and inferential approaches were followed. The study relied on the relevant secondary data in addition to the primary data which collected using questionnaire, personal interviews and direct field observations. The data was analyzed by using statistical package for social sciences (SPSS). The study found that the most important results include education of nomads for males without females for social reasons, the economic conditions and the school environment are the most important reasons for the leakage of nomads children from schools. There is a few number of official teachers in nomadic schools only 18 teachers for 14 schools. The lifestyle of nomadic movement and social life make difficulties in providing educational services for them. The locality of Kabkabiya received the highest percentage of nomads, with a rate of 58% compared to other localities. Accordingly, the study recommended that: increasing the awareness of nomadic societies about the importance of education is needed. The government should support the nomads for the settlement in order to provide their children with educational services. Training and capacity building for the nomadic teachers is also important(Published abstract)
