This study aimed to explore the impact of the interaction between two collaborative strategies (within the group- between the groups) and learning styles (extroversion - introversion) on developing 3D model production and visual thinking skills via a Web 3.0-based learning environment among instructional technology majors. To meet this end, a web 3.0-based learning environment was designed merging the semantic web technology and 3D technology together. The learning environment was designed based on a set of design criteria. One hundred and twenty first-year instructional technology majors participated in the study at the Faculty of Education, Al-Azhar University. They were randomly assigned into four experimental groups (30 students for each group). The study utilizes a test of cognitive achievement, an observation sheet of the practical performance, an assessment sheet of the production quality and a test of visual thinking skills. The study utilized the experimental research to fulfil its purpose. The results revealed the effectiveness of the web 3.0-based learning environment in developing 3D model production skills and visual thinking skills, in addition, there was an impact of the interaction between the two collaborative strategies and the students’ learning styles on the dependent variables. The study recommended the use of web 3.0-based learning environments in developing the intended learning outcomes. It also highlighted the need to utilize collaborative learning strategies via web environments. (Author’s abstract)
