The current study examined the impact of an educational program based on the habits of mind on literary appreciations, on a sample of 54 tenth grade students from one of the primary schools in Irbid. The semi-experimental design of non-equivalent groups was used. The design included an experimental group (27 students) and a control group (27 students). An educational program based on the habits of the mind, as well as a test measures five skills of literary appreciation. The results of the study revealed a statistical significance for the educational program based on the habits of the mind in improving the literary appreciation skills of the tenth grade students.
