Being aware of the developments in the era of digital transformation helps the teacher to: develop his various skills related to the techniques and strategies of teaching and evaluating his students, and then improve his level of performance. The roles of the special education teacher as reflected in the requirements of digital transformation, the obstacles they face, and the steps for digital transformation of education, using the descriptive approach. The study showed that the most important requirements of digital transformation: supporting the digital transformation system in education in order to develop the skills and capabilities of teachers, preparing digital courses, providing digital tools, and applying digital learning methodologies. It also showed the steps of digital transformation and the roles of the special education teacher, and ended with proposing a vision to activate the roles of the special education teacher in light of the requirements of digital transformation in six axes; The first: the use and management of educational technology for people with disabilities, the second: the discovery and development of creativity among people with disabilities, the third axis: providing people with disabilities with life skills, the fourth: taking into account individual differences between people with disabilities, the fifth: developing the characteristics of people with disabilities, and the sixth: evaluating and diagnosing people with disabilities, Presenting the requirements to achieve the proposed vision, the mechanisms for its implementation, the difficulties that may be encountered, and the proposed solutions to confront these difficulties.
